Welcome to the 5th Triennial of Photography Hamburg

From 1^st- 6^th of April 2011 Hamburg will be Germany's centre of photography again. "Crossing Bounderies. Photo-Film-Photo" is the motto, among which the event will gather different people to create new things, here and elsewhere.

It is about concentrating in one place unusual ideas, unlimited imagination, and extreme commitment to photography - in form of exhibitions, lectures, films, presentations, and encounters. It is about photographers and film directors from various countries throughout the world, with inputs of their personal experiences and ideas, who are showing what is happening throughout the world. And it is about giving a forum to the work of major photographers, both established talents and new ones.

As a press and media centre, Hamburg is the ideal place for photography. Most German photographers live here, many of the important photographic collections are in the city's museums and more and more photo galleries and other institutions integrate photographic works into their program. In April 2011, Hamburg will be the place to be if you are interested in photography.
